Rules and Regulations: Car Lottery

The Electric Car Lottery involves one grand prize draw and five early-bird draws. AGCO Lottery Licence: RAF1303583.

Rules of Play

The game involves the purchase of a virtual stub raffle ticket via an electronic raffle system (ERS) approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and operated by charitable gaming supplier Rafflebox Technologies Inc.

The draws are conducted using an electronic raffle system (ERS) approved by the AGCO and provided by Rafflebox Technologies Inc. The winning tickets are determined by a random number generator software integral to the ERS. A neutral third party (that is, a person who has not purchased a ticket) will initiate the draw sequence using the ERS dashboard.

Tickets prices are 1 for $20, 2 for $35, 3 for $50, and 8 for $100.

There will be one grand prize draw and 5 early bird prize draws. The total prize pool is $103,804.00 based on the values of the prizes at time of order. Prize pool value includes HST which will be paid by the Rotary Club of Oakville. Pickup location for all prizes is Oakville Ontario unless otherwise noted.

The grand prize draw will occur on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at approximately 7:00 PM at 1480 Seagram Avenue, Oakville Ontario L6L 1X1.

The grand prize draw winner receives a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium AWD SUV valued at $82,800. The total value of the grand prize is $94,624.00 including charger and HST. (Based on vehicle cost at time of order).

The first early-bird draw winner receives a Toro Powerclear 21 Inch battery electric Snowblower.  Total value of this prize package is $1129.99 including HST at time of order.

The second early-bird draw winner receives a Velec A2 e-bike, including bike fitting and training from Oakville E-Bikes.  Pick up location for this prize is Oakville, Ontario or free delivery within 100 km of Oakville E-Bikes is available. Total value including HST of this prize package at time of order is $2,371.87.

The third early-bird draw winner receives a Toro Recycler 22 Inch battery electric lawnmower. Total value including HST of this prize package at time of order is $960.44.

The fourth early-bird draw winner receives a Toro Battery Electric Lawn Tools Bundle including, edger, pole saw, leaf blower, trimmer and battery pack. Total value including HST of this prize package at time of order $1102.82

The fifth early-bird draw winner receives a Surface604 Rook e-bike, including bike fitting and training from Oakville E-Bikes.  Pick up location for this prize is Oakville, Ontario or free delivery within 100 km of Oakville E-Bikes is available. Total value including HST of this prize package at time of order is $3,614.87

Ticket purchasers must be in the Province of Ontario and at least 18 years of age at time of ticket purchase. Tickets cannot be purchased in the name of persons under 18 years of age.

Members of the Rotary Club of Oakville, and other persons or companies involved in the conduct and management of this raffle lottery are prohibited from purchasing a ticket.

In the unlikely event that the draw is postponed due to technical difficulty, power interruption, emergency or other unforeseen event, the Rotary Club of Oakville will remedy the situation then conduct the draw and announce the winner at the earliest possible opportunity.

Regulations

1. Ticket sales will commence at 12 PM (All times are Eastern Time) on Wednesday March 22, 2023. Ticket sales will close at 5:00 PM on Wednesday June 28, 2023.
   
2. The grand prize draw will occur on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at approximately 7:00 PM at 1480 Seagram Avenue, Oakville Ontario L6L 1X1.
   
3. Five early-bird draws will occur as follows: 
   
   1.) April 5, 2023 at approximately 11:00 AM: Toro Powerclear 21 Inch battery electric Snowblower to be held at Cliffs Lawn and Garden Equipment, 488 Morden Road, Oakville ON
   
   2.) April 26, 2023 at approximately 11:00 AM: Velec A2 Battery Electric Bicycle to be held at Oakville E-Bikes 11-1236 Speers Road, Oakville ON
   
   3.) May 17, 2023 at approximately 11:00 AM: Toro Recycler 22 Inch battery electric lawnmower to be held at Food for Life 2258 Mountainside Drive, Burlington ON
   
   4.) May 31, 2023 at approximately 11:00 AM: Toro Battery Electric Lawn Tools Bundle including, edger, pole saw, leaf blower, trimmer and battery pack to be held at Oak-Land Ford Lincoln 570 Trafalgar Road, Oakville ON
   
   5.) June 14, 2023 at approximately 11:00 AM; Velec A2 Rook Battery Electric Bicycle to be held at Habitat for Humanity, 1800 Appleby Line, Unit 10A, Burlington ON
   
   
4. Early-bird and grand prize details are available on the lottery website. The grand prize is a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium AWD SUV with optional extended range battery. The total grand prize value is $94,624.00 and will be awarded to the winner on an unconditional ownership basis inclusive of all taxes, freight charges, pre-delivery inspection (PDI) costs and dealer fees. Winner of the grand prize must take delivery of the vehicle as awarded and is responsible for licensing and insurance from the time of delivery/ownership. Pick up location for the vehicle is at Oak-Land Ford Lincoln, 570 Trafalgar Road, Oakville ONL6J 3J2
   
5. Complete draw results will be published on the Club’s Facebook page and lottery website (www.ElectricCarLottery.com) not later than the day after the draw. All winners will be notified by mail, email or phone within ten days of the draw and provided instructions on how to redeem their prize(s). Prizes must be accepted as awarded and claimed within six months of the draw date.
   
6. By purchasing a lottery ticket, purchasers acknowledge that they have read, understand and agree to the lottery rules and regulations. Ticket purchase implies consent for the Rotary Club of Oakville to release winners’ name, municipality of residence, and likeness for promotional and official reporting purposes.
   
7. The Rotary Club of Oakville is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information. The Club will use ticket purchasers’ personal information to administer the lottery. The Club will also use personal information to send current and future lottery related communications to ticket purchasers who provide express consent to use their personal information for that specific purpose.

Distribution of Proceeds

Proceeds from the lottery will be distributed to the registered Canadian charities operating in Ontario shown below. The amount awarded to each charity will be determined by the Rotary Club of Oakville.
